Know the Costs. Plan with Confidence.
At Kittson Healthcare, we are committed to providing clear, accessible pricing information to help patients make informed decisions about their care. Understanding what services may cost—and what your financial responsibility could be—is an important step in managing your health and your budget.
Understanding Hospital Charges
Hospital charges represent the amount billed for medical services before insurance adjustments or financial assistance is applied. It's important to note:
- Commercial insurance providers typically negotiate rates with hospitals.
- Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement rates are set by federal and state governments.
- Actual patient costs are determined by your insurance plan, which may include deductibles, co-pays, co-insurance, and out-of-pocket maximums.
Charges often include bundled items such as room, equipment, nursing staff, and standard supplies. Because every patient’s situation is unique, actual charges may vary based on the complexity of your condition, the services provided, and the time required.
View Kittson Healthcare’s Price Lists
We provide two downloadable files to help patients estimate the potential costs of services at Kittson Healthcare:
- Shoppable Services Price List – A list of common, scheduled services patients may choose in advance.
- Comprehensive Services Charge List – A full listing of all hospital charges.
These documents are based on recent claims and payment data. While helpful for estimating costs, they are not a guarantee of your final bill. If you proceed with services at Kittson Healthcare, we’ll provide a personalized estimate that more accurately reflects your out-of-pocket responsibility.

Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have certain types of health care coverage or who are not using certain types of health care coverage an estimate of their bill for health care items and services before those items or services are provided.
- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any health care items or services upon request or when scheduling such items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
- If you schedule a health care item or service at least 3 business days in advance, make sure your health care provider or facility gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing within 1 business day after scheduling. If you schedule a health care item or services at least 10 business days in advance, make sure your health care provider or facility gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing within 3 business days after scheduling. You can also ask any health care provider or facility for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you do, make sure the health care provider or facility gives you a Good Faith Estimate within 3 business days after you ask.
- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 or more for any provider or facility than your Good Faith Estimate from that provider or facility, you can dispute the bill.
