Goals of the Foundation
The Foundation will utilize contributions for recruitment and retention activities of healthcare professionals, for the improvement of the facilities and equipment to ensure continual, quality health care service, and for community engagement and benefit.
The Foundation accomplishes its goals by conducting fundraisers and soliciting cash or cash equivalent contributions for immediate, planned, or donor designated purposes. The Foundation attempts to manage all undesignated funds as ‘endowment like’, whereas funds will be invested and interest only will normally be considered for use as recommended by the Foundation Board of Trustees and as approved by the Kittson Healthcare Board of Directors.
The purpose of the Foundation shall be to receive financial gifts, contributions, and items/property of value subject to the limitations and restrictions set forth herein to use and apply for capital expenditures, educational and other purposes as may be recommended by the Foundation’s Board of Trustees and approved by the Board of Directors.

Foundation Scholarship: The Annual Clare Hunt Memorial Scholarship awards a $1,000 scholarship to a high school senior and has an April 15th application deadline.There are also a $1,000 scholarships for an Advanced Practice Nursing Students. The Foundation’s 19th Annual “Score Fore” Golf Tournament was held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at the Lancaster Golf Club in Lancaster, MN. Proceeds from the event supported the purchase of much-needed replacement beds for the nursing home. The 20th Annual event in 2026 will be held at Two Rivers Golf Club in Hallock.
