Would you like to service the community, patients and residents by volunteering your valued time to make a difference in someone’s life? Then consider volunteering with Kittson Healthcare. Reading books, playing games, or just visiting with residents can really have a positive impact on the lives of our residents. Would you like to volunteer with the Auxiliary? Please read the information below.

The purpose of the Auxiliary of Kittson Healthcare is to promote and advance the welfare of Kittson Healthcare through ways approved by the governing board of the organization. The Auxiliary works to accomplish that by interpretation of the healthcare center to the public, through service to the healthcare center and its patients, as well as through fundraising in a manner satisfactory to the healthcare center governing board and in harmony with the planning of the community.

Any person can become a member of the Auxiliary. The annual fee is $2.00. Your $2.00 goes towards purchasing items for the Healthcare center.

The Auxiliary holds fund raisers such as:

• A ticket raffle during the Kittsoun County fair with cash prizes. The cash prizes are $100, $50, $25, $15, and $10.
• A Pie Social and bake sale is held once a year on the 3rd Thursday of September. This is also when the annual Auxiliary meeting takes place.
• A Christmas décor sale, with items donated by the community. The sale is held in November.

The proceeds from the fundraisers purchase items for the hospital, nursing home, assisted living, and ambulance.

Being a part of the Auxiliary is a good way to give back to the community!
